A snippet of Warrior Wisdom.

In Chapter 11 of John's gospel he describes the scene when Jesus arrives at the home of Lazarus.  Lazarus has just died, and his sisters Martha and Mary, along with a larger crowd of people, are mourning his death.

'Jesus, once more deeply moved, came to the tomb. It was a cave with a stone laid across the entrance. "Take away the stone," he said.

"But, Lord", said Martha, the sister of the dead man, "by this time there is a bad odour, for he has been there four days."
Then Jesus said, "Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?"'    John 11:38-39


Martha led her conversation with Jesus with a but instead of a yes.
How often are you believing and yet still leading with a 'but'?  How often are you letting doubt set into your soul?
In moments of truth you need to stand firm and simply say yes (or no). If you are unprepared, your unbelief will lead to a 'but' and you will miss seeing the glory of God.

Can you imagine, just a little 'but' instead of a yes, and you miss seeing the glory of God?

Today where do you need to make your yes, a yes (and your no, a no)?
