Redefining success allows for peace and joy.
I'll keep this one short and sweet. It's easy to get caught up with the notion that more and bigger and faster is better. You can see it all around us in this season of Christmas. Sadly, most people don't even know the meaning of Christmas anymore and it's just another excuse to consume more.
Let's get real here. Happiness comes from having a business that is profitable and then spending less than you make.
The world, your flesh, and Satan will always tempt you to want more. Christ calls you to humble yourself, be content to serve others, and be happy with what you have.
Be content in the moment. Live today moment to moment. Be hidden in Christ in joy no matter what your circumstance.
40% of you at any given time are doing well but are unhappy because you want more. 40% are doing well and are currently content, at peace and living in joy.
The remaining 20% are stressed out because you are not yet profitable or you are in a temporary dip and are currently less than profitable.
The solution to all of these situations is the same.
If you are doing well and unhappy, stop focusing on yourself and start loving people with Christ's love.
If you are currently at peace and loving on people, stay focused and keep going.
If you are less than profitable, stop focusing on yourself and start loving people with Christ's love.
By this the love of God was displayed in us, in that God sent His [One and] only begotten Son [the one that is truly unique, the only One of His kind] into the world that we might live through Him. 1 John 4:9 AMP
This Christmas season focus on the fact that Jesus came to save us as a lowly child. He was satisfied with a manger and hanging out with the animals. He did it for love. It is the greatest gift you can ever receive. God giving you God.
Give thanks for all the blessings He has provided and look for opportunities to serve in Christ's love.
Have a blessed Christmas.
