Key to Growth: Simple and Essential

    GROWTH

Keeping things simple and focusing on the essentials
is the only way to grow your life, business, and practice.

If you want to go BIG you have to force yourself to keep it simple.
The bigger you go the more complex things will want to go. There is this hidden force that will complicate your life as you serve bigger.
It doesn't have to be that way but you have to work at it.
You have to get really good at saying no to the good things and saying yes only to the truly great things.

There are several reasons why life gets complicated.

One is that people around you will recognize your capacity and will entice you to help them with their vision.
You will be asked to sit on various boards and people will pitch all kinds of business and investment opportunities. Go into each situation with the intention of saying no.
Only say yes if you feel it falls into the centre of your vision.
If it looks like a good opportunity and lots of good will come out if it, just say no.
If it's not great and it's not in the middle of your wheel house, say no.

The second reason is, as you grow bigger in your business, your income level typically goes up. As your income goes up the opportunity to expand on the physical plane and complicate your life goes way up. Advertisers will want to take away your money by helping you buy things you do not need. Resist this with every fibre in your body!

Don't let anything in that will take away your margin.

    Keep your life simple!!

    Discover your essentials.
What is it that you do that is unique to you and is essential for you to do in order to keep your GAP Projects moving forward?   Do those and nothing else.

It's like the Warrior Coaching Linchpin exercise. Pull the pin that is holding you back the most. Leave the other ones alone, at least for now.
Steven Covey in his book The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People talks about focusing on the un-urgent important things as opposed to the urgent unimportant things.
If you don't know what your essentials or un-urgent important things are, then your unimportant urgent (putting out fires) will hijack and consume all your time.

In your vision time get clear on your essentials and create GAP projects based on these. Get it all in your Warrior Way and this will help you to resist the hidden force of complexity.

Stick to the essentials. Don't get distracted.

I continually re-discover how good I am at complicating things. This is a constant part of my process right now that requires I keep my attention to keeping it simple. Thanks coach!

Amen! This is exactly what God has been speaking to me these past few months. Coincidentally enough, just said no to a good opportunity as something greater falls on that same weekend. Thanks coach!!!

This is an on-going challenge for me. Good reminder coach! Got to learn to say no to things and purge more. Thanks

A good reminder to say No to the things that do not fall within my vision. It is easy to get caught in the trap of saying Yes for all the wrong reasons. Thanks Yurij

Love this message. Along these lines, I've been on a massive simplification this summer of purging and dramatically reducing clothes, books, tools, etc.

Thanks Coach. It is very easy to say yes to the good things, but God has created for great things- more than we can imagine. Thanks for reminding us to stay focused on His way. It is simple. His way and not mine or others.

Thanks coach! I'm simplifying my clinic a lot right now. There's a lot of things going on that are not hitting the centre of my vision and I'm phasing them out. Distinguishing from un-urgent + important and urgent but un-important is going to be great for my vision time today!
