    Success Tool: Be Enthusiastic!

Say the same thing with enthusiasm and multiply your results. February 14, 2017 by Yurij Chewpa

Marie and I recently got back from a mission trip to Nicaragua with Compassion Canada. It was an awesome trip and something shifted deep inside of me.

I believe the core of the shift relates to seeing people who have nothing but Jesus having more joy and enthusiasm than I do most of the time. It also relates to a confirmation that I need to continue to simplify my life and not let feature creep make things complicated. Plus it confirmed that I need to continue to fight against the scarcity gospel and the prosperity gospel and camp out in the generosity gospel

You are probably wondering- why all this preamble and how does it relate to enthusiasm?

I'm not sure how it worked itself out but it got into me and it got into my conversion report on Monday night.
Reflecting on it I think that the trip let me see clearly what was important in life. I stopped focusing on my wants and needs and I was able to focus more on the desperate needs of the people sitting in front of me.

By focusing on them and the solution that I had for them with fresh eyes, my level of enthusiasm and passion to serve them bubbled up and overflowed. As it turned out, that night everyone signed up for care.

It's not about the outcome, it's about the process. I would go back and deliver the exact same report even if nobody signed up, but that is the reason everyone did sign up. You get that?

This may seem obvious and perhaps even trivial but I guarantee you that if you continuously focus on getting yourself out of the way and focus on the needs of the person in front of you, you will take your life to the next level.

No matter where your walk is now, there is another level. There are multiple levels. The deeper you go the better it gets.

One last thing.  For so many reasons Compassion is an absolutely incredible organization. If you want to truly save lives for eternity and challenge your ability to be generous, sponsor a child through Compassion.  For our USA brothers and sisters, you can go online and checkout Compassion International at www.compassion.com, and for the Canucks go to www.compassion.ca.

Sponsor a child and you will be rewarded here on earth and in heaven.

    God Bless,

    Coach Yurij

Going on mission trips to the Dominican Republic with Chiropractors with Compassion have been two of the most rewarding uplifting and life changing events in our lives. On the dream board I made early in January, I put the word 'Love' on it everywhere as reminder that the entire reason I am with my patients is too show them Love. Thank you always for your wise words Yurij!

Thanks Yurij and everyone for the reminder that lives are at stake and that my ego has nothing useful to add to the lives of my patients.

Hey everyone, great feedback. It is not easy to stay enthusiastic. Commit to not leaving your morning time until you have your enthusiasm in line. You have to fight for it.

Yurij - I needed to read this this morning and end the pity party I'm living in. Get grateful and enthusiastic and focused on those in front of me. Good message. And Compassion - I love the organization and need to re-engage with our sponsor children. Step it up...

Loving your enthusiasm about gratitude and generosity this week, Yurij. Last week during a talk that I did, I felt like I was able to really tap into the fact that I was there to serve that group of women, I wasn't there for me or to stack our NP numbers for the month. Looking around the room and just visualizing their struggles and imagining how much chiropractic can transform their lives made all the difference. I want to train more on getting out of the way and focusing on serving others from compassion and gratitude. What a great focus; thank you again for this awesome wisdom.

Thanks Yurij, getting out of the way and focusing on what God has called and designed me to do. Sounds simple enough, and yet it's a battle that is fought not even daily, but moment to moment, (for me anyways.)

Amen Dr. Yurij. Thanks for sharing this awesome WARRIOR wisdom. I've definitely been doing more attitude checks prior to going into the office to ensure that I'm able to be filled with His love and overflow in His joy. I've also been more cognizant of my thoughts toward myself and toward my patients and being more intentional in choosing to dwell on the thoughts that produce joy and love has really started to shift my energy and heart space in my practice. Bless you and thank you for all of your life-changing coaching!!

Great teaching! This is why I train in warrior. Train to serve by caring for the needs of others and not for myself. I want more of this Yurij! Being passionate for people's lives and being enthusiastic because we are changing lives at the report.

It's true! I notice that I tend to be much more enthusiastic about things when I'm engaged with helping, or even being genuinely interested in someone else's dream. When I'm focused on what I could do to help them, enthusiasm abounds!

    Thanks Yurij.
